What to expect and same day delivery
During your consultation, our Dental Health team will take physical, and digital impressions of your teeth so the crown can be custom made. At Brattleboro Dental Care we can design and create your crown in house.
Same-day crowns and traditional crowns both restore damaged teeth, but the experience and timeline are very different. Traditional crowns typically require two separate appointments and involve temporary crowns that come with added risks. Same-day crowns eliminate those steps by using in-office technology to deliver a final result the same day.
this process is quick and allows us to deliver fully functional porcelain crowns to ceramic on the day of procedure. Once you are ready, we will prepare the tooth by removing any areas of decay, then file down the tooth to make room for the crown. The crown will be cemented onto the tooth or attached to the dental implant. Once set, we will adjust the fit so your bite is correct.
How the procedure works
Prep: Your dentist cleans decay and shapes the tooth.
Scan: An intraoral camera takes a fast, 3D digital image of your mouth.
Mill: Our in-house lab designs the crown, and an in-office milling machine carves it from a ceramic block in about 45 minutes.
Place: The doctor polishes and permanently bonds the finished crown to your tooth.
